What is the difference between a UPS and a standby generator?

A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) provides instant, short-term battery backup to keep critical equipment like servers running the moment power is lost. A standby generator provides longer-term backup power, but typically takes several seconds to start.

How does seawater desalination (reverse osmosis) work?

Reverse osmosis (RO) desalination forces seawater through a semi-permeable membrane at high pressure, filtering out salt and impurities to produce fresh water. Caribbean Technology's AqSep RO plants use SuperDuplex Danfoss pumps and energy recovery systems for efficient operation in the Caribbean environment.

Does Caribbean Technology offer remote monitoring for water and power systems?

Yes. Caribbean Technology designs SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for remote monitoring and control of RO plants, tanks, pumps, generators and air conditioning, accessible via secure cloud servers, local webserver, cellular, radio or satellite telemetry.
